* irmd: Revise IRMd internalsDimitri Staessens2024-02-191-0/+59
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a full revision of the IRMd internal implementation. The registry is now a proper subcomponent managing its own internal lock (a single mutex). Some tests are added for the registry and its data structures. Some macros for tests are added in <ouroboros/test.h>. Flow allocation is now more symmetric between the client side (alloc) and server size (accept). Each will create a flow in pending state (ALLOC_PENDING/ACCEPT_PENDING) that is potentially fulfilled by an IPCP using respond_alloc and respond_accept primitives. Deallocation is split in flow_dealloc (application side) and ipcp_flow_dealloc (IPCP side) to get the flow in DEALLOC_PENDING and DEALLOCATED state. Cleanup of failed flow allocation is now properly handled instead of relying on the sanitizer thread. The new sanitizer only needs to monitor crashed processes. On shutdown, the IRMd will now detect hanging processes and SIGKILL them and clean up their fuse mountpoints if needed. A lot of other things have been cleaned up and shuffled around a bit. * irmd: Move registry objects to their own sourcesDimitri Staessens2023-03-211-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Rename internal data structures so it's clear that they are the IRMd representation of these objects for management purposes. Split functionality for these objects off and and move them to their own source files. Rename internal functions of the IRMd to reflect this, with some small refactoring. * Change email addresses to ugent.beSander Vrijders2017-03-031-1/+2
| | | | | | | Our mailserver was migrated from intec.ugent.be to the central ugent.be emailserver. This PR updates the header files to reflect this change as well. Some header files were also homogenized if the parameters within the functions were badly aligned.

| | | | | Copyright is set to 2016 - 2017. License text on includes and sources in the library are changed to indicate the LGPLv2.1 license.
* ouroboros: Correct license statementsdimitri staessens2016-12-241-3/+2
| | | | | This corrects the license statements on all files. Installed headers are LGPLv2.1, the rest of the code is GPLv2.
* lib: utils: deprecate strdupdimitri staessens2016-07-051-19/+0
| | | | | | | | When introducing robust mutexes, ouroboros moved to POSIX 200809L which includes the strdup function in <string.h>. Including <ouroboros/config.h> will give access to strdup. Fixes #15.
* lib, irmd, tools, ipcpd: updates to dev API.dimitri staessens2016-06-131-0/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The registration function has been moved to the irm tool, applications now need to be registered by an administrator. Currently only supports one instance per registered name, and an AP can be registered under only one name. The irmd can now start a registered server application on demand. For the full functionality of the tool, execute "irm register". AP name removed from flow allocation. Flow allocation does not send the source ap name as it is quite useless. The accept() call now only returns the AE name.
* ipcpd: initial IPC processesdimitri staessens2016-04-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Basic functions for implementation of IPC processes, and implementation of core functions of the shim IPCP over UDP. Updates to the build system to compile these IPC processes, as well as some fixes in the irmd (rudimentary capturing exit signals) and some fixes in the library, mainly relating to the messaging. Basic implementation of creation / bootstrapping / deletion of the shim UDP. Placeholders for other functions.
* lib: Move strdup to utilsSander Vrijders2016-04-021-0/+22
| | | | This moves strdup to utils to make it globally available.
* irmd, lib: Create and destroy IPC ProcessesSander Vrijders2016-03-151-0/+33
This adds the functionality to create and destroy IPCPs. Upon creation a new process is forked and execve'd. Upon destruction the IPCP is destroyed by killing it with SIGTERM.
